Donate to the Campaign

Competing in an election demands both time and money, and while I am committed to investing both, I face opponents with considerably deeper pockets, supported by substantial donations.

Candidates are allowed to spend up to £20,000 on their campaigns, and major political parties will likely reach this limit.

Based on my recent mayoral campaign, I believe a more modest £5,000 is an appropriate budget for my campaign, covering costs for leaflets, online advertising, travel, website maintenance, and social media engagement.

However, as an independent candidate, securing large donations can be challenging. Businesses may hesitate, finding it politically sensitive since such contributions are a matter of public record and can appear directly tied to my personal actions if I am elected, rather than to a party.

Accordingly, I seek small donations of up to £50. Together we can make a difference.

If you like what you have seen, then you might consider giving more than your vote. This could be by telling your friends about me (especially if they live in Harrogate and Knaresborough) or donating to my campaign.

Think differently. People before politics. Vote Independent.

Note: Donation permissibility checks will be undertaken in compliance with legislation. Information about donations, including donor details may be published for transparency.
